Achraf Hakimi will not be defending his Marc-Vivien Foé prize, which he won last year. The PSG right-back is not included in the list of 11 nominees for the award recognizing the best African player in Ligue 1.
Due to his ongoing trial for rape allegations, Hakimi does not meet the criteria for “exemplary conduct off the field.” This exclusion means the Parisian player’s outstanding performances on the pitch are overshadowed by these off-field issues, preventing him from being considered for the prestigious award.
