Our initial forecast for the Premier League 2025-26 season saw Liverpool crowned champions, Chelsea as strong contenders, and a prediction of relegation for Brentford and Sunderland. As it turns out, the actual season presented a different narrative.
What We Predicted:
Mikel Arteta had declared it a “big summer” following a third consecutive season as Premier League runners-up. The new sporting director, Andrea Berta, certainly delivered in his inaugural transfer window. Arsenal supporters are now left to ponder whether the arrivals of Martín Zubimendi, Christian Nørgaard, Noni Madueke, Viktor Gyökeres, Cristhian Mosquera, and Kepa Arrizabalaga will finally enable them to make that crucial final leap and secure the title for the first time since the legendary “Invincibles” of 2004.
