The former footballer was reacting to the news that the Africa Cup of Nations appeal jury controversially awarded Morocco the AFCON 2025 title via an appeal this Tuesday. This decision comes two months after the Atlas Lions had initially lost the final to Senegal. Nasri, now a consultant for Canal +, expressed his concern, stating that such timing ‘discredits’ African football.
